Soy Wax Candles FAQ and other information
Q - When I burn my candle, there is some wax left on the sides of the
jars.
A - This happens when you dont burn the candle long enough. Our candles
should be burned for at least one hour per inch of diameter. For example:
if your candle is 4 inches in diameter, you should burn your soy candle
for 4 hours the first time. Because soy candles have a "memory",
if you do not let the candle burn properly the first time, all subsequent
burns will not burn to the edge of the container thus leaving a build
up of wax instead of melting all the way.
Q - Are your soy container candles 100% natural soy wax?
A - Yes and no. Once you add fragrance and color to soy wax candles,
they are no longer pure soy. Our candles are pure soy candles but we cannot
make the claim they are 100% soy.
Q - How long will my candles last - can I store them for next season?
A - Our soy wax candles can be stored indefinitely. However, since we
pride our business on fresh soy candles, for maximum performance, we kindly
request that you burn them within one year.
Q - Do your candles contain petroleum?
A - No, our candles are made with natural soy wax and do not contain
petroleum additives.
Q - After my candle has cooled, I noticed some white streaks on the sides
of the jar.
A - The white streaks are referred to as frosting which is totally normal
with soy wax.
Q - After my candle has cooled, I noticed the wax is a little crusty.
A - The crusty apprearance of the soy wax is totally normal. It does
not affect the candle in any way.
Q - My soy wax votive candle lasted only 2 hours.
A - Soy wax votives should be burned in a tight fitting container. When
burned properly, they should last over 15 hours.
Q - How long should the wick be before I light it?
A - We recommend you trim your wick to 1/4 inch before you light it.
For best results, keep the wick centered and trimmed to 1/4 inch at all
times.
Q - My palm wax pillar candle is leaving a shell as it burns.
A - When burned properly, palm wax pillar candles will leave a shell
when burning. This adds to the beauty of the palm wax pillar. As the candle
burns, you will notice a glowing effect from the shell.
Q - Are your soy wax melties the same as tarts?.
A - The word tart is trademarked to another candle company so we do not
refer to our soy wax melties as tarts.
Q - How do you use your soy wax melties?
A - Pop the 6 pack out of the package. Break the six pack into 6 pieces.
Add one piece to your burner. Turn on your burner and enjoy 10 to 15 hours
of refreshing aroma.
